Durham, GTA
Hi! My name is Traceen Hutchinson, I’m a mother of 4 beautiful children ages 9 through 20 and I’m married to my King of 20yrs.
After graduating from Durham College (2004), I got a job right away at the top Hospital for Maternity. I worked at Mount Sinai Hospital for 15 years as a postpartum nurse and lactation consultant. This was my foundation, the senior nurses taught me everything I know.
In 2018, I took a postpartum position at Lakeridge Hospital in Oshawa but decided to take a leave of absence and work in Long Term Care as a frontline worker during the Covid-19 pandemic.
My passion has always been in Maternity care being hands-on with my patients as they transition from pregnancy to motherhood.
As a postpartum doula I aim to bridge the gaps between the hospital and starting a new life at home with baby, through lactation support, family bonding and postpartum care for the birthing person.
As your doula, I will discuss your birth preferences and expectations, provide home birth/hospital birth education, labouringpractices/positions, breathing and relaxation techniques, help prepfor baby’s arrival and pack the essentials for birth.
